o gat ye me wi' hing?
ro reel, and spinning wheel,
a mickle quarter basin:
ye attour my gutcher ha
a heich house and a laie,
a' forbye my bonie sel,
the toss o' ecclefe.
o haud your tongue now, lucky lang,
o haud your tongue and jauner

i tint my whistle and my sang,
i tint my pead pleasure
ut yreen graff, now lucky lang,
wad airt me to my treasure.
