attend, take part in, join和participate都可以表示“参加”，很容易混淆，但它们之间是有区别的：attend指的是席或参加比较正式的活动，take part in侧重于在活动中起积极作用，join指的是加党派、群等活动，participate指的是积极地参加某一项活动。
